Hello LPA Lakeside community. I want to thank you for your patience as we address the current circumstances in the political arena and education in Arizona. We plan to have the school open from 8:00-3:30. There will be NO breakfast, NO before school, and NO after school, as several of our teachers will be participating in the RedForEd movement in PHX. This movement is an effort to allocate more funding to public education in Arizona. We have been able to secure enough support staff to safely open the school on Thursday; I am pleased that we were able to avoid a full school closure on this day. I do understand that many of you will keep your children home, and they will be marked as excused for this day. This will also ensure that we do not need to extend school beyond May 24th, our original last day of school. This plan will be extended for the duration of the teacher strike. We will notify students, staff, and families if there are any further changes to this plan.
